Connect2Kent's 2025 Review: Celebrating our Achievements
2025 has been a year defined by recognition, growth, and meaningful connections. Connect2Kent’s teams have continued to strengthen our impact within public and third sector recruitment, staying true to our purpose of supporting Kent County Council, our communities, and especially our candidates.
Awards and Recognition
We were shortlisted for the Recruiter Awards for Best Public/Third Sector Recruitment Agency and were finalists at the British Recruitment Awards. Helen Archer-Lock was recognised in the Leader of the Year (Agency) category, and Commercial Services Group was a finalist for Public/Third Sector Recruitment Agency of the Year. We also celebrated several internal achievements, including Lauren Pike receiving the SLT Choice Award and Amy Davis being recognised as Top GP Performer at our internal Recruitment Awards. These successes, alongside our group-wide recognition, reflect the commitment and expertise of our team.
Team Development and Community Engagement
The Connect2Kent team continued to strengthen their skills and impact this year. Luke Boatman completed the Operational Excellence internal training course, Lauren Pike passed a Level 3 Team Leader apprenticeship with distinction, and Saffron Wagland completed an Administration apprenticeship with distinction. In addition, the team volunteered at The Big Cat Sanctuary over two days, supporting the local community and demonstrating the spirit of giving back.
Recruitment Impact
This year, the team successfully placed just under 100 locum Educational Psychologists into Kent County Council, making a real difference for both the council and the individuals we placed. Alongside these achievements, the team attended multiple recruitment events and job fairs, continuing to connect candidates with meaningful opportunities.
Looking Ahead
With 2025 coming to an end, we wanted to extend our heartfelt thanks to our teams, partners, candidates, and communities. We also want to thank Kent County Council for their continuing support, here’s to another year of this important partnership.
Every achievement this year has been driven by your dedication and support. What is the plan for 2026? We remain committed to growth, connection, and making a positive difference in the communities we serve. We have no intention of slowing down!
