Connect2Kent 2023: Celebrating Success and Impact
As we prepare ourselves for a new year, we’re taking this opportunity to look back and reflect on the incredible year Connect2Kent has had in 2023. Our successes this year are a testament to our commitment and dedication to Kent, and ultimately enabling us to bring more jobs to our community.
Awards and Recognition
It’s been a great year for awards and recognition at Connect2Kent, here are some of our highlights:
- Shortlisted at the Recruiter Awards 2023 – ‘Most Effective Back Office Operation’
- Finalist at the LGC Workforce Awards – ‘Best Innovation in Recruitment’
- Winner at the British Recruitment Awards – ‘Public/Third Sector Recruitment Agency of the Year’
Social Value
We’re a social value organisation through and through, and this year the whole team spent a day volunteering at a local homeless shelter in Maidstone. Having the opportunity to give back to our community and those in need has been so rewarding and we hope to continue to do so next year.
Supporting Kent County Council
At one point this year, we had 320 workers supporting unaccompanied asylum-seeking children in Kent. This was a huge success acknowledged by Kent County Council and made a real impact on the lives of others. We’re proud of the work we do and the difference we can make, as well as providing jobs to those in the community.
Team Growth
2023 has been busy for our team growth - we have recruited 2 Apprentices and 5 new Talent Partners over the course of the year, plus Lauren Pike was promoted to a Senior Talent Partner after completing her career pathway! Developing our team enables us to provide more support to our workers, as well as our partner, Kent County Council. Welcome to everyone who joined us this year, and well done to Lauren!
We want to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support this year - Connect2Kent wouldn’t be the same without it! We look forward to continuing to grow in 2024 and working together to make Kent a great place to live and work.
