Connect2Kent 2021: Year in Review
2021 has undoubtedly thrown its fair share of challenges at us, as well as huge successes, and we wanted to share these with you before we leap into the new year.
Resilience has been the keyword for us this year, as regardless of the pandemic, we have been busy as ever (if not more so!) in helping to keep our county safe. We began the year working with KCC Public Health to staff 24 Asymptomatic Covid Testing sites, allowing us to provide 1400 local people with jobs.
With our desks being so busy, we brought on 3 new team members this year. We welcomed Carren as a Recruitment Consultant in June, and Rachel joined us from our sister company, Connect2Socialwork. Briony joined as a Temporary Recruitment Administrator in March and has now been offered a Permanent role in Compliance. We currently have some brilliant temps working with us to support, huge thank you to Emma, Becky, and Michele! All have become absolute assets to the team and provide much-needed support on the desks. On top of that, the wonderful Luke continued to impress us and gained a promotion to Senior Recruitment Consultant – well done Luke!
As the year progressed, we began working with the Home Office to supply Temporary workers to care for Refugees entering the UK. This presented new challenges, but the team has dedicated themselves to providing the support needed with excellent outcomes, and an ongoing relationship with the Home Office.
Everything we have achieved this year is thanks to our wonderful candidates and clients. We have filled 780 Temporary assignments, and 20, 353 shifts filled – well done to everyone! We can’t believe how much we have achieved this year and all the wonderful new people we have met.
We wish you a lovely festive season and look forward to working with you all again in 2022.
